Newcastle United are ready to mount a fresh bid to re-sign Loic Remy, according to the Evening Chronicle. Remy spent last season on loan at St James’ Park but he was keeping his options open this summer and hoped to impress during France’s World Cup campaign. However, his lack of action in Brazil has reportedly rekindled the Magpies’ hopes of landing the striker from Queens Park Rangers. It is also rumoured that Newcastle have re-initiated talks with Montpellier over priority target Remy Cabella as they look to bring in at least two new faces before a pre-season trip to New Zealand.
