In case you haven’t heard, PEMRA, the electronic media watchdog, has banned Indian DTH services in Pakistan. It is now illegal to own an Indian DTH service and anyone found selling or using it will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

The deadline for banning Indian DTH is 15th October 2016.

PEMRA has now specified how stringent the punishment for those using Indian DTH for commercial and personal purposes will be. The electronic media watchdog will:

Slap a Fine of upto Rs. 10 Million
Send the offender to jail for up to 4 years
The previous announcement by PEMRA that outlawed the sale and use of Indian DTH services in Pakistan didn’t mention the specific details about the punishment to be meted out. However, in a bid to make the public aware about the illegality of owning an Indian dish to get superior quality channels, the authority has made it clear about how it intends to prosecute lawbreakers. It has also asked federal and provincial bodies to help it curb the use of Indian DTH.

It should be mentioned that Pakistan is losing millions of dollars in revenue because of the lack of certified and authorized DTH services in Pakistan. The launch of DTH services in Pakistan is the need of the hour and it is hoped that the government and the private sector come together and make this a reality.

Filhaal tu yeh hi lagrha ha kai crackdown ho ga shopkeeper ka khilaf jo dth sale karrha hain.

Umair bhai app nay ju video share ki hai, us pay likha hay k agar app seller hain , ya phir app k personal use ma hai , dono k khilaf bila imtiaz karwai ho gee.

lekin crackdown toh shops par hoga.

Agar shops par recharge hi ni hoga toh phir dth recharge kaise hoga.

waise dekhtein hain 15 ko kya hota ha

Muje jail min dalwa do administrator umair ....wo postin lgao jinka koi maksad ho...mery pas 3 dth hen...Allah k bandy koi katal nhi kea k jail min dalin gy...shop pe ay tu logo ny ley...kea apky pas koi indian dth nhi hy...ab dehtai sy jhot na bolna k nahi hy...har dosry bandy k.pas hy sub ko jael ho jy gi pahnsi p ltka din gy....koi kam.ki post lgao logo ko mat drao

Why are you acting like stupid mai ne apne pass se koi kahani ni lekhi jo pemra ne press release di ha woh post ki ha. Next time be careful or ready to face a ban

G g muje pta hy administrator sab tum ban kr skty ho q k tmhari post ko sirf like krna hota hy uss p koi rong comments nhi kr skty q k wo delet ho jaty hen...topic acha post kea kro mr pher koi msla nhi hy...phly kbi suna hy pemra ny kisi ko phnsi lgwai ho

@Choudhrys G -=UMAIR=- bhai wo he bata rahy hain jo media publish kr raha hy. wasy sorry to say joo hub al watni hamsaya mulk main hy wo hum logoon main nahi hay, -=UMAIR=- bhai ek news post kr rahy hain. Agar app nay PEMRA k rules follow nahi krny to Lagy raho mery Bhai.
