Rizwan Awan wrote: 05 Jun 2022, 1:45 pm Can say, 1 Inverter AC, A fridge, 3 fans, 10 50 Watt LED lights, its Minimum, If possible, add a Water Pump
one inverter AC of one and half ton consumes 17-18KW till selected temperature meets ..after reaching selected temperature ,starts consuming 5-6 hundred watts so we assume 600 watts consumption of one and half ton AC
A non inverter 8 cubic feet fridge consumes 250 watts
3 ceiling fans consumes almost 250 watts ..(Lahori room cooler consumes 275 watts alone.)
10 LED lights of 50 watts consume 500 watts
water pump of half horse power consumes 650-800 watts
so in total 600+250+250+500+650=2250
according to your load 3KW inverter is enuff to run suggested load.
What possible cost 3kw to 5 kw ?

I will give you a rough estimate,
Price of Inverters (5/6kw) Vary from 110'000 to 185'000
Price of Panel (Currently) 75/Watt
Price of a Panel Stand (4200 for two-panel Stand, 7500 for 3-panel Stand)
DC Wires/ Distribution Panel/ Breakers 20'000 Approximate.

so roughly a 3kw system cost will vary from 450'000 to 525'000
and likewise, the price of the 5kw system will be 575,000 to 650'000.

Please note that this price does not include installation charges and Net-Metering Charges.
Net-Metering (if you plan to sell excess electricity to Wapda) will charge you 80'000 extra.
Installation charges may vary and are negotiable..

taree wrote: 05 Jun 2022, 4:01 pm i must recommend to go for 5kw system instead of 3kw.
however ur load is managable with 3000 watts but u have to switch ac off when u run a waterpump or oven or iron.
ur load can be run smoothly with 3kw but in my opinion after using solar system for 3 years that 5kw system is much better and tention free..
aap ki recommendation boht umda hay aur aapkay logics be appreciable hein ...3KW kay saath aapko ziada (as compare to 5KW) manage kerna parhta hay ....5KW ka khurcha boht ziada hay ...lekin manage ussko be kerna parhta hay.
if anyone plans to install solar setup ,can save installation charges (min.Rs.50000 )by getting guidance under same thread.

As masood sb. calculate 2250 watts for me, I add few extra things, which is not on my Line, I use 3 different Lines ( meter ) from wapda, I only want to shift one now on Solar, and I think its enough to use 3kw

i will repeat again rizwan go to 5kw.
if u want to reduce cost then dont add batteries and share solar with wapda.
add solar panells of 3000 watts first and add more in future.
but 3kw system decision is not wise...

you may use a rotary switch of 3 modes/positions for two lines( meters) ..don't think availability of rotary switch in market for three inputs (lines)
3kw inverter enuff to run your required load

5 kw per janay wali baat theak hay lekin without batteries
now a days in extreme load shedding backup is very necessary and I will not never recommend to use inverter without batteries
@Rizwan !kindly give more detail of your load if you want to run existing UPS load with solar?? UPS lga huwwa hay keh naheen??
Jiss tarah Tariq nay suggest kia hay within 3KW solar setup ,you will have to manage it ...at a time you will not be able to run your whole load of 2200 watts....5kwa kay liay aapko 48 volts yehni 4 batteries derkar hon gi whereas 3/3.6KW kay liay sirf 2 :-|
