Google says all Chromebooks launched from 2017 and onward will support Android apps

In May 2016, it was pronounced that Chromebooks can be able to access Play store and Android apps by Google Team.

Since then, now they have developed and made stable builds to the Asus Chromebook Flip and Acer Chromebook R11 as well as the Google Chromebook Pixel 2.

We already know that the company will introduce the new functionality to the existing Chromebooks but we don’t have clue about the translation of new functionality into upcoming Chromebooks. But now company has made it clear.

In an update to the corresponding Chrome OS support page, Google states that, “All Chromebooks launching in 2017 and after […] will work with Android apps in the coming future.”

In start of 2017, at CES event, two Chromebooks were unveiled, The Samsung Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro and Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA.

In the event, it was announced that these two laptops will support both Google Play and Android apps, therefore this is a good start by tech industry in the start of 2017.
