Star World Premiere HD Launches Today On Tata Sky

September 24, 2013 - For the first time in television history, India will watch the latest seasons of the biggest shows with America, before the rest of the world

Keeping in mind the needs of the urban, English-speaking viewership, Star India today launched Star World Premiere HD on the Tata Sky platform. Star World Premier HD is priced at Rs 60 per month and is available as an a-la-carte channel.

The first-of-its-kind channel in India will air 26 new and returning shows from four of the biggest television studios in the world, creating a revolutionary television viewing experience in high-definition (HD). For the first time in television history, India will watch the latest seasons of the biggest shows with America, before the rest of the world.

Speaking at the launch, Kevin Vaz, General Manager English channels, Star India, said, "We believe once the channel is launched, India will be privy to the latest seasons of the best American shows on air currently alongside America, changing the viewer experience in India forever. Star India has always focused on innovative strategies to provide entertainment to its viewers and the launch of Star World Premiere HD is an endeavour in this direction."
