A group of communication satellites called The Hot Bird are run by Eutelsat. The first Hot Bird satellite was launched in 1995, and as of 2013, there are 13 satellites in the Hot Bird constellation. The satellites serve Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East with internet, telephone, television, and radio broadcasting services from their geostationary orbit at a longitude of 13° East.
