UPC: New Hungarian and Russian stations, start of Šláger Premium HD

Several new Hungarian and Russian stations have been included in the offer of the Slovak cable operator UPC. A new music station, Šláger Premium HD, has also been added.
UPC has expanded its portfolio of services with a new Hungarian Extra package. It included 10 Hungarian programs: RTL Gold, RTL +, Sorozat +, Muzsika, Slager TV, Story4, SuperTV2, TVSéf, Fem3 and FILM +. The other two stations - the Hungarian public stations M1 and M2 - are part of the basic Klasik program package.
As part of the promotion, until the end of this month, all stations from the Hungarian Extra package are available to all customers without any additional charges.
Customers will find all new stations from the Hungarian Extra package at program positions 470 to 479, resp. at 426 and 586 MHz. The Hungarian Extra package is part of the offer of digital cable television for the price of 3.50 euros per month with a six-month commitment.
With the addition of the Hungarian Extra package, UPC's offer has expanded to a total of 61 stations in the Hungarian language.
In addition to Hungarian programs, UPC has been offering three other stations since the beginning of the year - the Šláger Premium HD music station has become part of the basic Klasik package, and viewers will also find it in Horizon Go and Horizon TV mobile TV.
Two new stations were added to the Russian package - the Bober housing program and the Carusel children's station. After this expansion, the Russian package is already offered by 11 stations. Customers will find both programs in the offer of digital cable, mobile and internet television.

Show Türk was the last channel of the private media group Ciner Grubu not to be broadcast in HD quality on satellite. The broadcaster provides Show HD , Habertürk HD , Bloomberg HT HD and the Show Max HD launched in late October 2020 . All these channels are transmitted in SD quality in parallel.
In Show Türk we can find content broadcasted by the sister station Show TV . These are series, movies, entertainment formats, news and journalism - all of our own production. Reason for broadcastingShow Türk is to adapt the scheduling to distribution abroad.

The German HD + platform raises prices

Investments in new HD and UHD content are expensive, as well as in technology for a better TV experience - this is how the HD + platform justifies the price increase. A lot has also happened technically, including HD + integration in branded TV sets, e.g. Samsung, Panasonic JVC, Hitachia Toshiba.
The HD + channel package currently includes 24 HD channels including RTL, Pro Sieben, Sat.1 & Co., as well as 2 UHD channels: RTL UHD and UHD1 . Premium content from the 7 HD + channels is now regularly displayed on the UHD1 channel, parallel to the HD broadcast in UHD.
