i have not check specification of star sat and media star and not tested them,

but as per my knowledge all star sat receivers have worst picture quality, and i think media star have better picture quality,

but i have heard receivers with android have issues, and as per my knowledge mostly media star receivers have android and star sat receivers have not android not lynx,

mostly popular receivers are lynx like dreambox and vu, they are too costly and are for upper class not for middle class nor for lower class,

if you can afford 20-25 thousands pkr, then you should test media star, otherwise stick with tiger, star sat and other boxes,

tiger receivers has freezing issues on most of channels of videocon like starbharat hd, zee cinemahd, national geographic hd tps,
but starsat have worst picture quality, may be all tiger receivers has no issues, but on t8 high class/t800+ hd have...

most of channels on eurpean and asian are 1080p/fullhd/2k, not uhd/4k

@Tiger
Bro I have a question for you.
As you said that most of channels on eurpean and asian are 1080p/fullhd/2k, not uhd/4k so why channels show us 4k logos on them are they trying to make us fool ?

yes, most of channels are 1080p,
for example, all indian dth are 1080p including sundhd (but with hevc codecs), dishtvhd, videoconhd, airtelhd.

same as European channels...

even most of content on commercial bluray disks (not encoded movies/series brrrip, bdrip on torrent sites) are hd 1080p,
even most of commercial 4k bluray disks are upscale from hd,
for example, all season of game of thrones series released on 1080p, but on 4k only 1 season is released...

so, real 4k content are rare, so there are very few channels in 4k,

if you have money then go for 4k, otherwise wait to decrease the price, it may took few years...but it depends on you

UHD/4K/2160p channels on hotbird:
https://www.flysat.com/hotbird-uhd.php

HD/2k/1080p channels on hotbird:
https://www.flysat.com/hotbird-hd.php

by visiting links you can see numbers of hd and uhd channels
