Re: VU+Zero4K urgent sale
The reason of slow booting of Duo4K is the twin tuner, more tuners means more booting time, thats why DM920 has 5-7sec slower booting time then DM900

Re: VU+Zero4K urgent sale
@ lord, mere khayal main, boot time is not only tuner dependent , other factors also matter like image, settings, plugins and skin in use.
one more thing that much of the boot time is taken by application Enigma2 and for starting Enigma2 the CPU speed matters very much

100% agreed booting/re-enigma time differs at every image.Muhammad Qaiser wrote: ↑03 Feb 2019, 9:06 pm @ lord, mere khayal main, boot time is not only tuner dependent , other factors also matter like image, settings, plugins and skin in use.

Re: VU+Zero4K urgent sale
Dear Qaisar/Masood Bros
You can read about boot-time & Tuner relationship on vuplus-community forum, the guy who used to review all the VU models says that the reason Zero4k is faster is becasue of single input, and duo4k has 4 inputs. Image has to check the inputs during booting to pass the signals through. So @Masood what ever the image will be DM920 will be tad bit slower then DM900. Same goes for VU+Zero4k & Duo4K

Re: VU+Zero4K urgent sale
Further mode, People who have tested the boot time, they just installed the stock image, tuned any FTA channel on both receivers and then performed the tests. you can find those tests on web if you search.
Processor speed doesn't matter. for example if a task is done in 1GB ram, having 10GB ram doesn't mean that that task will be performed in 10times less time. and please do install a utility which will tell you CPU load and Ram usage in enigma receivers. you will see that processor merely go beyond 30% (in Zero4K), means 70% processor is doing nothing because its already very powerful for that particular operating system. So it doesn't matter if it is 1.5Dual or 2.1Quad.

Re: VU+Zero4K urgent sale
Dear Lord, lord wrote: ↑02 Feb 2019, 7:02 pmI second Mr. Tariq,
One of the best receiver i have used so far, booting, zapping, menu scrolling second to none. a true power pack. You can compare it with DM900 even, other then Multiboot, it will be almost at par with Dm900 performance.
VU+ it self lacks in multiboot no matter if it is Zero4k or Ultimo4K, multiboot is bullshit on every VU.
The only reason for replacing it is that i want to upgrade my recording capabilities. i used to record serials and DM900 is a very good PVR, and has another tuner for stand alone recording.
If you have music records of Rox HD, then kindly upload it on Mega.nz or on other website and share the link.
Thanks
