"Rysa" - Polsat and AXN series on Ipla

From Friday, January 15 this year. the service will be available Ipla all the episodes of "Cracks" - a new crime series, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Igor Brejdygant. On the screen, viewers will see Julia Kijowska, Maciej Zakościelny, Dawid Ogrodnik, Zbigniew Zamachowski, Janusz Chabior and Kinga Preis. The series was commissioned by Sony Pictures Television Networks Central Europe in cooperation with Polsat Group. For its premiere, it will be available only in Ipla, in the Ipla Premium package. The production will also be available on Cyfrowy Polsat GO. It is not yet known when this series will appear on AXN and Polsat channels.

Rysa is a combination of a crime fiction and a psychological thriller. The action of the series focuses on the fate of a policewoman from the Warsaw homicide department who, during the investigation, faces her own past and a world full of secrets, addictions and passions.

The production will be available entirely on the Ipla website for users of the Ipla Premium package.

- "Rysa" is worth watching, if only because of the main character and how complicated the situation is - says Igor Brejdygant , author of the novel "Rysa" , on the basis of which the series was made, and its leading screenwriter. - Normally, we often fear for the hero, because he is threatened by some external danger, here the situation is more complex, because the danger may be inside the heroine herself, she is afraid of herself - she adds.

The latest production, directed by Maciej Migas ("Live not dying", "Trace") and Łukasz Kośmicki ("Ultraviolet", "Hidden game"), is an eight-episode story full of riddles and secrets, also concerning the painful experiences of the main character's past. The action of the series begins with the murder of a homeless man and is set in contemporary Warsaw. Commissioner Monika Brzozowska, who leads the investigation, senses that there is more to the case than just the troublemakers. Subsequent crimes with a similar pattern confirm her suspicions. The creation of the mysterious leading character, a policewoman from Monika Brzozowska's homicide department, was entrusted to Julia Kijowska ("God's Servants", "United States of Love" and "Drogówka").

Monika's life partner is a caring businessman, head of an advertising agency, played by Maciej Zakościelny ("Dywizjon 303. Historia real", "Diagnoza" and "Czas honoru"). Among the figures around them, viewers will find, among others: Janusz Chabior ("Kamerdyner", "Blinded by the lights" and "Wołyń"), Kinga Preis ("Daughters of dancing", "Pod Mocnym Aniołem" and "In the dark"), Dawid Ogrodnik ("Icarus. Legend of Mietek Kosz", "Silent Night" and "Life Feels Like"), Mariusz Ostrowski ("Znaki" and "Solid Gold") and Zbigniew Zamachowski ("Kurier", "Pakt" and "Pokłosie") .

The series was directed by Maciej Migas ("Live not dying" and "Ode to joy") and Łukasz Kośmicki ("Ultraviolet" and "Hidden game"). The leading script writer is the author of the novel - Igor Brejdygant ("Paradox", "Zbrodnia", "Ultraviolet" and "Szadź"). The second screenwriter is Bartosz Janiszewski ("Ultraviolet" and "Wataha").

The series was commissioned by Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks Central Europe in cooperation with Polsat Group.Endemol Shine Polska is responsible for the production. The production is an adaptation of the first in the series of crime novels by Igor Brejdygant, "Rysa". As we read in the announcement, the novel was published in August 2018 and quickly gained the favor of readers who, with bated breath, followed the fate of a policewoman with a mysterious past, discovering more mysterious murders. Filming for "Rysa" ended in November 2020.

In December 2020, the actors entered the set of "The Arrangement", which is a continuation of "Rysy". As we read in the release, it is a political thriller that will draw viewers into the dark world of systems, dependencies and secrets (more here) .
