V1.x has Atheros AR9002U chipset. As far as I can see, none of the OE Alliance images support this. If it does not plug-and-play then I'm afraid you might need to get another WiFi stick. Check for the driver support before purchasing!

Try using the same image in all boxes (e.g. OpenATV) to rule out image/driver problems.

Are all the boxes connected using WiFi?
